Sakhi Kunj is an alliance of women living in the slums of Delhi and surrounding rural areas. Our mission is to support these women for equal opportunities through access to employment, financial assistance, healthcare and education for themselves, their families and their communities.

Sakhi Kunj helps improve the lives of women by providing skill based training in handcrafts and art, and negotiating the sale of these items to support the women and help them maintain their livelihoods. Sakhi Kunj also sponsors vocational training for women, funds education for girls and hosts workshops and seminars to educate women on the issues affecting them, such as health and hygiene, women’s rights, leadership and empowerment, and environmentally friendly living.

The women of Sakhi Kunj personally handcraft all of our products, which are made with eco-friendly materials. We specialize in yoga related designs and art. Our items include bracelets and malas made with beautiful lava, rudraksha and natural beads, yoga mat bags and coin purses made with recycled Indian saris and fabric materials, crochet art and other unique handcrafts and textiles.
